| Soft S.A. is a software developer established 1980
specializing
in the architecture / engineering / construction (AEC) industry. Our main
product is Presto, an application used in estimating and subsequently tracing
the cost of any construction project, which includes CAD take-off, monthly
certificates, job cost control and project management modules.
Presto is used by over 33,000 contractors, engineers, architects, estimators,
quantity surveyors and project managers in over 13,000 companies in
Spain (where it has a 48% market share) and also in Argentina, Chile,
Paraguay
and Uruguay.
Presto is a construction estimation software. It allows you to build
an estimate very quickly. It will import price databases through several
ASCII
formats but is excellently suited to create your own databases from
previous estimates.
Presto allows you to build up the take-off the traditional way, measuring
drawings on paper, or to measure DWGs on a monitor in a fully automatic
way (it recognizes entities and layers), or to import take-off files
from most AEC CAD software's (Autodesk ADT, Nemetschek Allplan, Graphisoft
ArchiCAD
etc.).
Presto includes a fully-Windows report generator, very similar to that
used by Microsoft Access: fully customizable with any of the records
and tables, calculated fields, expressions, true type fonts, color,
.bmp and
.wmf allowance, etc
A project management module allows to create basic bar charts in seconds,
which can then be reworked graphically and/or exported to other project
management software's using .mpx files
Site cost control modules allow contractors to evaluate work advance
and compare actual on-site construction costs with estimated costs
and with
prices paid by the customer.
The basic configuration (estimates, take-offs and certificates) is
priced at EUR 570 plus VAT. Presto is fully Windows standard, supports
drag-and-drop,
contextual right-button menus, standard cut- or copy-and-paste etc.
Presto is available in Spanish, English, Portuguese and Catalan to
different extents -menus and options, reports, help...- and is technically
prepared
to be easily translatable into other languages.
